Nannas BBQ Patties

Nanna's BBQ Patties were always featured at our family BBQ's. They are cheap and easy and make heaps!

500g beef mince
1C milk
1 pkt French Onion or Chicken Noodle Soup Mix
2 eggs
1 onion, grated (I finely chop)
1 carrot, grated
1C SR Flour
1C water

Combine all ingredients together with your hands. Mix will be very sloppy. Don't worry it will thicken.
Refrigerate overnight. Or at the very least make this early in the morning if cooking for dinner that night.
Spoon ladelfuls into a hot BBQ plate in desired size. Cook a few minutes, until nicely brown and the mix has firmed up, flip and cook on the other side until brown.

This mix made 12 patties the size in the picture above.

  1. It must be a universal South Aussie recipe - known to me as sloppy burger mix. Guaranteed if you go to a family bbq that these will be on the grill. Nice!
