Tucker Tuesdays ~ Recipe: Golden Syrup Dumplings

As soon as the cold weather starts I crave these little balls of sweetness. They are so rich though, two is usually enough.
Serve with ice cream and/or cream.

Golden Syrup Dumplings
1 1/4C SR Flour
30g butter
1/3C golden syrup
1/3C milk

Sauce:
30g butter
3/4C brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2C golden syrup
1 2/3C water

Combine all the sauce ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer.
Sift the flour and rub in the butter. I put mine in the food processor  :)
Gradually stir in the golden syrup and milk. Drop spoonfuls into the simmering sauce, cover, cook about 20 mins (often only needs 10 so keep an eye on it).

That's it pretty easy!
